A Tea Party

This room just says “Put the kettle on and grab some snacks. We are going to have a girls day in!”

Now this is my kind of living. That wood burning stove (would make amazing pizza). The simple wood accents of the windows against the white walls. And the comfy open space of the living room with vaulted ceilings. Oh I’m drooling again…

When I look at pictures of cabins and homes set in forests and mountain tops, I try to convince myself that I could totally live in those place. I love the idea of being “one” with naturing and smelling the wonderful pine when I go camping and climbing but I always get anxious when I’m away from the city for too long. I’m not sure if I could live in a more rustic setting a.k.a lumberjack lifestyle. I think I would miss the hustle and bustle of crowded streets and coffee shop life too much.

Comfy Living

I’m always torn between these styles for my apartment. I want to have roughed up rustic wood furniture while still having a neon shag carpet to nap on. Hopefully I can find a way to create a happy melding of the two before I start foaming at the mouth every time I come across an antique shop or IKEA.
